Core Values
Commitment: Be committed to personal excellence. Our goals must be a priority.
Integrity: Do what is right. Be honest and loyal to parents, coaches, teachers, classmates, and ourselves.
Pride: It is a personal commitment; it is an attitude which separates excellence from mediocrity.
Teamwork: Teamwork is achieved when individuals make personal sacrifices to work together for the success of the group.
Discipline: Means being mentally and physically tough, to continually improve to become the best that you can be.
Effort: Give everything we have every day. It takes zero talent to give 100 % effort.
How and Why You Play
All of you want to play. However, the coaching staff must determine who will start and the amount of playing time for everyone. Consequently, we feel it is important for you to understand how we will decide on the depth charts as practice progresses. The following five points will be the criteria that we will follow.
Knowledge of assignment. We cannot and will not play people who do not know their assignments. Your position coach will spend extra time with you if so desired. Everyone can and should know their assignments. Hustle and effort. Everyone will be expected to give 100% at all times. Extra effort wins games. Remember, it takes no talent to give 100 %. Hitting and mental toughness. We will discover in practice that has a strong desire to hit. Football is a contact sport and it must be played with mental toughness. Contribution to the overall team. Football is one of the few team sports left. The individual who motivates his teammates to do better, is always enthusiastic and ready, will make a greater contribution than one who does not possess these qualities. One man who hates to lose is an invaluable player. You must hate losing more than you love winning. Talent. If the above four characteristics are equal, and they should be, then the young man who has the most talent and makes the most big plays will start.
We will give any player every opportunity to earn a position on our team. It is our desire to play as many people as possible, but obviously that is not always possible. The above was written out so you will know exactly how we will evaluate you. Our best athletes will lead us to a CHAMPIONSHIP.
Our main concern is to be fair as possible with you and to be truly honest. If you feel that you are not being treated fairly, see your position first and then come to the head coach.
Laundry / Equipment
If you are a varsity, junior varsity or sophomore player your workout clothes will be washed every day. NEVER take your clothes home. You will be given a laundry wash strap. Each day you will be told what to place on that strap. We do not wash your personal clothes. Only FHS issued attire. Clean towels will be provided each day.

Locker Room Policy
Keeping your locker room clean and in order is the responsibility of each and every member of the football program. This task is not to be left up to the underclassmen on your respective teams.
Every athlete will be issued a locker. All lockers with the exception of the varsity locker room has a built in locker. You are expected to remember your locker combination and not to give this out to anyone. (Varsity lockers have a space for your own “hang type “ locker. We will rent this to you for $ 5.00 for the year, or you can bring your own.
Keep lockers closed and locked at all times. Even when you are showering. Do not “rig” lockers. Never bring cash, I-Pods, anything of value to be locked up in your locker. Remember – if you lock your locker your valuables will not be stolen. We change the combinations on these lockers every year. Forgetting your combo will cost you physical consequences Keep all towels off the floor – ( dirty towel basket ) Under classmen, your backpacks, books, etc. must be locked in your locker during practice time. The gates to the locker rooms will be locked 5 minutes after the start of practice. All football equipment is to be locked in locker when you leave the field house after practice.
Varsity shoulder pads should be placed on top of your locker. Varsity Helmets will be hung from the inside of your locker. (Not on top of your locker!)
Personal Conduct Rules
“Remember Who You Are “, because you are an athlete, you are looked up to by many people (particular young kids); justify the pedestal they place you on.
